Thanks you guys for such an awesome chalet! Sorry I couldn't mass msg everyone cos I exceeded my msg limit already ._. It was really great to see everyone again after so long! Haha, thanks for making the chalet so memorable for me with all of your presence!

Right, so I'm advertising Humanities in Celebration 2009. Yes, the one with the plays so that you can laugh at how epic phail Hwach people are at acting. Right, that's lame. Sorry. xD

It can be very stressful, but just look on the bright side of everything yeah? Everything has a bright side, even the really sucky ones :D. Besides, you are the one who will judge how bad things are anyway, so you decide how it will affect you. But whatever the outcome, you will come out of it stronger! (Unless you do stupid things like jumping off HDB flats in pairs to slay the demons!)

Oh, and learn to not regret, it'll let you live life better! At least, this mindset helped me conquer a lot of the not-so-good parts of my secondary school life so far.

Okay, firstly, nightmares. I heard from some of you that you're having nightmares about per[FAC]tion and all, and really, it's fine! Having nightmares is NORMAL (compared to me...who can't dream. Like, seriously...), but don't interpret them like crazy, okay? They are:

I've still not gotten over the fact that school is about to reopen (in like, two weeks for Hwach people), which means we all go back to our previous lives. *BLEH* But oh well, I hope we all keep in touch :D Which I do think we will actually, seeing that the mass convos have STILL not died down (which, while I'm sure most of us are irritated by, actually appreciate a lot :D).

But oh well, I was thinking 10th August or something, we meet up again for mama's/Brenda's birthday or something, seeing that it is:
1. a day AFTER National Day
2. National Day is on a Sunday, which means holidays usually extend till 11th August!

Hey facs, hope that you had the time of your life yesterday!!!!!!!!

Haha, the Transformers movie was all right I guess. (The cinema was superrrrr cold...lol :P) Just that maybe the content can be enhanced! Then we went to cut cake and give our presents :). I am proud to say our present (Crystal, Brandon, Damian, Shunxiang), was the COOLest! Haha. The playing with water was soooooooo fun! Although was feeling superrrrrr cold during the whole time. Dinner was at B2 Food Court (Though food republic would be better...haha). Played "I have never" game. Haha, Woon Wei and Brenda, why you 2 keep winning :P.

Ryo: You have to love your trophy and admit that it is cute and cool! The certificate is also very nice right?

Ok ok first, I must say I totally enjoyed myself during facs outing and I hope all of you had a great time too! (This is extracted from my blog post, but with edits :P)

Slightly more than one month has passed since the 40 of us first met...

One month went past so fast, just like that, I realised that I have been missing you guys loads!

Some words (of thanks) for each of you that I have been sort of holding back/ trying to consolidate for the past month:

Alicia: Hi Alicia, thanks for being the cheerful/ zi high one of our per[FAC]tion family, together with Shirley, you two were the 'force' throughout the convention that lifted the spirits of all of us facilitators! Thanks for everything, once again, and especially your gossip >< !
Arthur: King Arthur! You have been a great friend, loved your jokes, King Arthur's Park, Queen Brenda (LOL!), 21slc per[FAC]tion, and all the funny funny stuff you have been doing at NSMs. Don't think I don't know arh!! Haha, yeap, and sprinting with you after Fac's training, and dinner at Prince. Thanks for being part of 15slc per[FAC]tion!!
Brandon: Hi Brandon! You have been the reliable one during my SLC per[FAC]tion experience, really appreciated your contributions for the entire SLC. Thanks for cooperating during the performance rehearsals, and for being part of 15slc per[FAC]tion!
Brenda: Hi Brenda, you are really thoughtful! Thanks for the letters you prepared for everyone of us, for helping to choreograph the ballroom segment of the performance, for coming down to the rather unproductive performance choreography/ practise and fac's song and cheer 'brainstorming' session, and for your jokes and all! You are an amazing facilitator (compare the notes you took in your handbook compared to everyone else's), and once again, thanks for being part of our per[FAC]tion family! Katherine: Hi Katherine, you are a great head fac! Thanks for being really committed and helping Timothy facilitate his faculty in his absence on the first day of SLC. I heard you managed to high his faculty despite the faculty coming to know him only on the second day! I will never forget the day we (Alicia, Timothy, you and I) chionged to Plaza Sing after PK/HFS course! Haha! Once again, thanks for being part of my per[FAC]tion experience! Oh and thanks for coming down on one of the performance practise/ choreography and brainstorming of fac's song and cheer sessions before the convention too

We shall never forget practising 6-steps, me failing at flares, thinking of the dance performance, the late nights at the council room either practising/choreographing, thinking of the fac's song or cheer, and visiting FML and failblog! Ancell drug den FTW! Haha!! I miss going there with Libo and you to lag there for 2 hours to confirm the shirt stuff after CSM, and though I screwed my Physics test, it was worth it! Timothy: Hi current chairman! Thanks for a lot of things, including stuffs before SLC. You are a great friend, I guess you were like a support during the first few days when we (the facs) first met, because I didn't know many people around, and you were like my closest friend there :P . Anyway, yeap you and I gone through lots of stuff together, including Unit Camp, and for that I'm really grateful to have you around. Once again, thanks for everything (including your presence at the 2 sessions to settle performance and cheers/songs stuff)!
Wei Liang: Weiliang! You hacker! Didn't know that you knew Song Ken and were hackers with him! Haha joking only! I guess you are the fun type of person too, just that I don't know you very well yet :/ . Hopefully will get to know you better in future outings lah, and then maybe you can teach me how to hack also? And I can tell you stories about Song Ken's hacking carreer in Hwa Chong >< ! Anyway, thanks for being in per[FAC]tion together with all of us!
Wenyi: Hi Wenyi, thanks for being the cheerful, friendly and approachable friend in per[FAC]tion [FAC]ulty, and for helping to choreograph the performance. And err thanks for going down for one of the rather fail sessions where Kenji and I tried to get people down to choreograph/ practise performance and settle the fac's song and cheer, but yeap fail because there was no solid agenda to adhere to and everyone daoed our messages -.- . Anyway, you will be remembered, kakak!
Woon Wei: Hi Leon! >< The niaoing of Leon Look on the very first fac's training has become sort of a strong 'first' impression that I have for you liao...and not forgetting your Kay Hian face or the octopus eyeball thing :D ! Working with you in the same nation state was fun! I think I a bit envious of you youth council too because they all quite high, at least I think net high-ness higher than mine lah. Thanks for entertaining us during nation state meetings, and prompting me to write the note thingy for each of the faculties under youth council C. Thanks again, for everything!

Yi Lin: Hi Yi Lin! I really enjoyed working with you and youth council B in the same nation state! You, Shaw Shian and Libo...haha three of you made nation state meetings more 'lively' :D ! And I was quite shocked when I found out from Katherine and Sheena that you were the innocent type when they followed me to 'crash' developed nation's NSM :P Haha anyway thanks for being part of my per[FAC]tion experience!
Yongda: Hi Yongda! Thanks for being another funny persong in our per[FAC]tion family! Argh, I can't remember any special incident that happened for me to talk about leh, but I guess yeap the impression I have of you is that you are the fun/ funny type lah. Enjoyed working together with you as this year's SLC facs, and hope to know you better in the future!
Yu Xuan: Hi Yu Xuan! Haha as mentioned earlier I used to confuse you with Sheena, don't know why too :S . Anyway I guess we didn't really talk much throughout SLC, and I don't know you very well too, hope we can get to know each other more in future fac's outings, then I can clearly separate you and Sheena :X
Zhi Xian: THREE CHEERS FOR KNEE SWAP! Haha, you are damn funny and cute! Especially when you zi lian! Enjoyed everything with you, from knee swapping to zi lian-ing and stuff. Not forgetting your pwnage mechanical icebox, and the discussion about making you do kneeswap while everyone else dances the ballroom part or putting you as one of the gay pairs! >< Thanks for being the 'joker' of our per[FAC]tion family (no offence!) and for your amazing photo shooting skills! Without you, per[FAC]tion wouldn't be so perfect anymore...

I shall place my blog post here cause I think it's appropriate here too to share my slc story.

Here goes:
I like to use cliched expressions.
Yes, in the blink of an eye.
1 year has passed.
It's almost like it never did exist, but I do fondly remember 14slc.
27th May - 30th May 2008.
That was it.
Time flew by arguably much slower then, and all the Cluster meetings seemed like eternity before Lit Xian finally declared that clapping and cheering were in order.
It was all so much fun to liase with Yongzhi to dish out the best Cluster Action Paper around.
However, I decided that was not enough.
I watched with envy as the 14slc facilitators stood on each other's shoulders during lunch time doing their cheers.
I stared wide-eyed at the facilitators performance in comparison to my cluster's.
But nevertheless, I was addicted.
Addicted to an event so huge, the scale is shocking.
That's why from 2nd - 5th June 2009, there I was.
With the scale pointing at a 100%. Made to Per[FAC]tion.

My chance came rather easily, with me bugging Mr. Eugene Chua just once, then to my amazement received an sms from him the night before telling me I was a head facilitator.
I really didn't know what to expect.
Then the day came. 17th May 2009.
The first facilitators meeting.
I saw several familiar faces, and plenty more unfamiliar ones.
It was the chance.
The chance of a lifetime.
To be a facilitator for 15slc, along with 39 others.
As the second facilitators meeting came, we got seemingly closer and closer, all the way up till the convention when all barriers/walls just came crashing down.
Through the convention, I never really did despise my role as a head facilitator, but at the end of it all, it didn't really matter at all.
'Cause I've got 39 others, 39 other Per[FAC]ts that walked through the 4 weeks of 15slc facilitator journey with me.
And here's a shoutout to all of you:
I <3 15slc;per[FAC]tion!

And as much I would like to end this post on a serious note,
maybe I shouldn't(:
I shall then end it with a quote by myself :B

Hey everyone, just wanted to say a big THANKS for today’s birthday surprise! TRULY didn’t expect until zhixian came into the room in the morning and said something funny, he destroyed the surprise hhaha! But I still enjoyed it tonnes, thanks for it all! Especially zi siang who smashed the thing into my face (stop feeling guilty luh), nickee who bought the cake (remember to pay him back!) and nickchuan for being the overall mastermind.

Had study session with Celine in the evening but it was rather unproductive because our minds were too occupied with SLC! You see my AMath textbook beneath, hahah. We even went to visit SALT Centre lol. It was very quiet, unlike during our rehearsals.

Hi [FAC]ulty members!

I really miss all of you! You were the best group of facs I have ever seen (at least, compared to last year's)! Overly high and stuff >< ! The Bubblegum, the Nobody dance, random fac squeezes and DI-sperses, the dance rehearsals, the prank notes, the pizza, and 2010 HSC <3 !

1 week since the start of SLC, I think,(or know) many of you are emoing, and some have even fallen sick D:

Take care of yourselves hor! Spam water, sleep earlier, and don't skip meals! Especially don't work too hard if you are not feeling well!

Remember this: we shouldn't emo, because we will never let the SLC spirit die! There WILL be outings, either as a [FAC]ulty, or together with your faculty (D: I don't have one), or as a youth council. As facs, it is really easier to organise outings, so be very sure you won't miss anyone! In the long term, at least :/

Heh, I have to admint, I'm emoing a little, everytime I hear 'The Climb' or 'You Belong With Me'. Gahh! Not leading with example :S. But anyway, yeap, reminder, the spirit will never die, so we shouldn't emo! :D! :D!

Once again, those not sick yet, don't fall ill! And those who are sick, please get well soon!
